Browser Stats From July 8:40 pm
I thought I’d post a some browser stats from last month (July); I thought they were worth sharing:
Browser Stats:
- Firefox 48.3 %
- Mozilla 27.8 %
- MS Internet Explorer 17.7 %
- Unknown 4.3 %
- Safari 0.5 %
- Opera 0.3 %
- Camino 0.3 %
- Netscape 0.2 %
That’s some pretty good percentages there–48.3% FireFox, and only 17.7% IE! I was actually surprised by the amount of Mozilla visitors. But if you happen to be part of that 17.7% IE, I highly recommend that you visit Browse Happy and pick yourself a better browser. ![]()
I eat food. I listen to music. I sleep. Sometimes. I drink lots of coffee. I make pretty pictures. I talk to people. I believe in things. I write stuff. I take photographs. I have a laughing addiction. I am human.
Percentages are nice. Wait until you get more traffic. and then wait until IE7 is officially released. I’d even encourage my visitors to upgrade to IE7 seeing the updates they put out. They’ve done some pretty nice CSS updates, but now it’s time to see the DOM updates
Yeah, I’m pretty pleased with the CSS updates they’re doing.
I don’t know if this is even possible, but a guy commented on the IE blog suggestiong that since IE7 is only going to work on XP it would be really nice if Microsoft would release an update or plugin for IE6 that contains the bug fixes and CSS changes. It probably woudn’t cut down on their OS sales much, and it would make the web developer community happy.
