Yeah, the animation class looks neat. Why would I use it instead of Scriptaculous? Is it lighter (file size)?
I’m guessing it’s about half the size of Script.aculo.us’s effects.js, and it has a very different approach to effects.
Whereas script.aculo.us gives you ready-made effects like Effects.BlindDown(), this actually lets you apply modifications to the CSS and it will do all the transitions between them for you as shown in The Killer Feature.
