Whereas script.aculo.us gives you ready-made effects like <em>Effects.BlindDown()</em>, this actually lets you apply modifications to the CSS and it will do all the transitions between them for you as shown in <a href="http://berniecode.com/writing/animator.html#ex11Button">The Killer Feature</a>. I’m guessing it’s about half the size of Script.aculo.us’s effects.js, and it has a very different approach to effects.
