If you think of it just as a phone, then yes, it’s crazy. But if you think of it as a revolutionary smart phone with OS X (normal smart phones run for ~$300-$400) + an ipod (~$200), it makes perfect sense.
It’s really a lot more like a PDA running OS X with a phone built in.
[…] Nope, i will not have it! I’m not a fan of the iPhone. I will admit that it is damn sexy, and a sleek gadget for sure but it is not for me. This post is pretty much in regards to Elliot Swan’s post stating that he NEEDS an iPhone. I on the other hand, do not. […]
What’s revolutionary about it? Touch screen interface for a phone? Multi Touch? I’d include more links but I’ll set off spam filters and nobody would see this. There’s nothing revolutionary about iPhone, and in my opinion, a phone without tactile feedback isn’t a good phone at all. Nor mp3 player, video player, camera, etc. Is it the integration? Can’t be, Windows Mobile 5 does everything iPhone does. Surely, not as nice a UI by any means, but at least it’s not a closed environment limiting you entirely to Apple’s software. That’s like leaping backwards over a decade in cell phone advancement.
Say Something.
I eat food. I listen to music. I sleep. Sometimes. I drink lots of coffee. I make pretty pictures. I talk to people. I believe in things. I write stuff. I take photographs. I have a laughing addiction. I am human. I have more about me over here.
No! $500 for a phone is crazy! (granted it does look sexy) it’s just too expensive in my opinion.
