It’s too bad Verizon doesn’t carry the iPhone…er, so I’ve heard maybe they will in the not so distant future!

Well, I don’t think I’d pin it as Apple’s mess, it’s mostly AT&T’s. That sort of pricing all depends on how AT&T is swinging their contracts I believe. $500 isn’t bad for phone + iPod + video camera + whatever else, but it’s pretty messed up when new customers get it for $199 and current customers get stuck paying the full price *and* renewing their contract.

That’s unfortunate that a phone which is clearly an upgrade model requires a new two year license.

Oh and $500 for 8gigs, really? There are flash memory cards with that much for <$40.

I’m a fan of apple as well, but this is a little shady.
